Scientific evidence shows the mind and body are
connected, and both must be at peace when
fighting cancer. While Western medicine works
diligently to heal the physical body, Reiki aims to
heal the spiritual & mental aspects of the person.
A holistic approach is the best approach.
Reiki is a complementary therapy used to ease
the emotional and physical side effects of
treatment for patients and their families. Reiki is
not an approved cancer treatment. Do not delay
pursuing standard medical treatment in favor of
any alternative methods. Be sure to always talk
to your healthcare provider prior to having any
alternative or complementary treatment.

Reiki In Hospitals
Over 800 hospitals and cancer treatment centers
across the U.S. utilize Reiki as a complementary
therapy for their patients. Reiki is not widely used
in the Mississppi healthcare system, but it is my
mission to change that. My hope is that by
introducing this complementary healing modality
as a volunteered service, it will create more
opportunity for patients to gain access to and
information about Reiki and other holistic
therapies. Receiving Reiki treatments in
conjunction with an established treatment plan
from your doctor can result in a less painful, more
peaceful experience for the patient and all those
walking their cancer journey with them.
How is Reiki Performed
Your complimentary Reiki session will typically last
30 to 90 minutes. It may be administered
separately or in combination with other medical
treatments. I generally perform Reiki within close
proximity of the recipient, but it can also be
successfully performed from a distance. Often,
my sessions include the use of healing frequency
music in conjunction with chakra-specific crystals
and stones that are believed to enhance the flow
of energy.
During your session, I use my hands to transmit
"life force energy" while you are lying down, fully
clothed. My hands will be placed on or slightly
above your body with the goal of directing the
flow of energy where it is most needed.
Treatments are completely non-invasive and
require no tissue manipulation or painful pressure.
